(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to
support communication within an educational setting. This role is
based in Lockport, NY, with opportunities involving travel to
various school locations. The ideal candidate will have experience
interpreting in schools, providing effective communication
assistance for deaf or hard-of-hearing students and staff. Key
Responsibilities: Facilitate clear and accurate communication
between students, teachers, and staff using American Sign Language
(ASL) Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school
activities in real-time Collaborate with educators and support
staff to enhance learning experiences for deaf or hard-of-hearing
students Travel between assigned schools as required to provide
interpreting services Maintain confidentiality and adhere to
ethical standards of the interpreting profession Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and strong interpreting
skills in educational settings Prior experience as a sign language
interpreter in schools preferred Ability to adapt quickly to
different classroom environments and communication styles Strong
interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Valid drivers
license and willingness to travel regularly between school
locations Location: Lockport, NY with travel to nearby schools.
