seeking a Project Engineer. Tramec Sloan is a part of the Tramec

Project Engineer leads and works closely with teams focusing on
product specifications, product design, tooling procurement and
design, engineering prototypes, cost reduction, quality improvement
opportunities and manufacturing support. Must have hands-on design
experience and support the execution of new product development
launches, team objectives and strategies with a focus on both
design and project management. Requirements: Summary of Essential
Job Functions:Manage and lead complex projects related to metal
processes including stamping, roll-forming, assembly, and
welding.Responsible for new product development including design,
launch, management, and communications.Lead technical and cost
improvements to existing manufacturing processes and products.Drive
new product development activities through an APQP process.Create
and modify part masters, BOM, routing, and prints as
required.Responsible for creating and maintaining work
instructions, and tooling requirements.Analyze proposed product
requirements and specifications to determine feasibility through
internal EP process.Participate as a key member in Kaizen events
and/or other continuous improvement activities.Responsible for
working in accordance with our documented Quality System and for
ensuring that products and services meet the customer's specified
requirements.Maintain a clean and orderly work area using the 5S
process and follows all safety policies and procedures.May be
required by Management to perform other reasonable work-related
tasks.May be required to work different shifts, hours, overtime,
and weekends if needed.Other duties to be assigned. Education
and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely
related field; mechanical engineering degree preferred. Minimum of
5 years of experience is required. Must have demonstrated applied
mechanical engineering problem solving skills, and 3D CAD
experience using Solid Works or similar solid modeling program. The
ability to work and function independently, communicate, and
interact effectively with all levels of staff is required. Computer
SkillsProficient in 3D modeling Solid Works and 2D layouts in
AutoCADERP/MRP software understanding (Epicor or other similar to
SAP)Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Project, Outlook). Other
Skills and AbilitiesFamiliarity with the heavy-duty trucking
industry concepts, practices, and procedures is a plus.Excellent
communication skills and the ability to interface with co-workers,
vendors, and business partners.Strong project management
skills.Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts.Strong
analytical skills.Ability to work independent of supervision and
make a wide variety of complex decisions.Candidate must be a fast
learner with a high attention to detail.Above-average organization
and time management skills.Ability to travel, if needed.Possess, or
the ability to obtain, a valid passport. Physical
