Job Description:

sustainability and innovative waste management solutions. As a Lead
Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing
the operational efficiency of our extensive fleet of waste
collection vehicles. This position requires a combination of
technical expertise, leadership skills, and a dedication to safety
and environmental responsibility. Oversee the daily operations of
the vehicle maintenance department, ensuring all equipment is in
optimal working condition. Lead a team of mechanics and technicians
in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical
systems. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and coordinate
routine and preventative maintenance schedules. Ensure compliance
with all environmental laws and regulations as well as company
safety standards. Maintain detailed records of maintenance logs,
repairs, and parts inventory. Collaborate with other departments to
optimize maintenance procedures and reduce downtime. Provide
training and support to team members, ensuring they are up-to-date
with the latest industry practices and technologies. In-depth
knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems used in
heavy machinery and commercial vehicles. Exceptional
problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and repair
issues quickly and efficiently. Strong leadership and team
management skills. Excellent organizational and communication
skills. Proficiency in using maintenance management software. 401k
ASE Certification in Heavy Truck Mechanics (T1-T8) Commercial
Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred but not required. Safety and
Compliance training certifications.
