Accomplish Our People & Engagement Manager is a true partner to our
site leadership team on the ground in Mishawaka. This individual
will lead the execution of human resources programs and activities
to support business objectives. From recruitment to employee
relations and performance management, this individual will touch
every point of the employee lifecycle and become an integral member
of the local Wellie community:
- Oversee all human resource functions for our Mishawaka
location
- Lead the staffing process by recruiting and managing the
interview process efficiently to drive timely hiring decisions
- Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable federal, state,
and local employment laws and requirements related to all aspects
of human resources functions and policies
- Maintain detailed job descriptions for each position at the
facility
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and other
documentation, as required
- Train all new employees through new-hire orientations,
Handbook, and company policy training, Good Manufacturing Practices
(GMPs), Safety, and OSHA compliance
- Promote and encourage healthy employee relations with the
leadership team and employees
- Maintain a close working relationship with the corporate office
People & Engagement Team, ensuring interpretation and communication
of organizational policies for understanding, acceptance, and
consistent application throughout the site location
- Partner with the corporate office and the local leadership team
to train and facilitate employee performance management program
elements
- Lead the planning of employee celebratory events and
recognition of milestones
- Coordinate all required compliance training for employees
- Manage internal communications with employees
- Participates in mandatory safety training and ensures adherence
to all safety policies
- Required to report all safety issues, near misses, and injuries
Quality & Food Safety:
- Completes quality & food safety system documentation and
verifies compliance with program standards. Reports deviations to
Supervisor.
- Participates in mandatory food safety and quality training
program requirements
- Preserves the integrity of the GFSI system through adherence to
the policies and procedures outlined.
- Takes actions necessary to resolve food safety and quality
system deficiencies
- Required to report food safety and quality system failures and
take actions necessary to preserve the GFSI system. Who We're

- For this position specifically, we'll need someone who
has:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Human Resources
- A minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role
- Strong experience in human resources disciplines i.e., employee
relations, recruitment, and business partnership
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Flexible to accommodate pressures and demands as required by
schedules, deadlines, etc.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written),
organization, problem-resolution, and presentation skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislative changes and
practice
- Self-starter, high energy, shows initiative and creativity
- Passion for developing people and supporting business
growth
- Able to do light day travel as necessary and to attend
off-premises events, meetings, and conferences as requested
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about
