Apply now!Responsibilities of the Infection Preventionist (RN/LPN):Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectivesFollow the documentation format for all Infection Control reportingFollow specific policies and procedures for Infection Control as it relates to the following departments: nursing; maintenance; laundry; dietary; rehabilitation; and ancillary servicesMonitor the documentation of incidents of infection and file for reporting and analysisAddress patterns or trends in the incidents of infection with appropriate follow-up and corrective actionSupervise the performance of the corrective procedures by designated departments or individual staffEstablish the objectives of Infection Control education and provide training and in services to facilitate their attainmentMaintain the confidentiality of resident informationWork as weekend Supervisor as part of manager on duty rotationRequirements:of the Infection Control Nurse (RN/LPN):Must be an experienced RN, licensed in the State of IllinoisHas Completed at Least the CMS Infection Prevention/Control Course, or EquivalentSkilled Nursing Facility Infection Prevention ExperienceMust have working knowledge of general nursing and geriatric nursingKnowledge of JCAHO, OBRA, IDPH, HFS regulationsCompassion, tolerance and understanding of older adultsGenerations at Oakton Pavillion is a Premier rehabilitation and skilled nursing community, providing world class healthcare and concierge-like services for seniors.
