Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Kalamazoo, MI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,074 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Kalamazoo, Michigan, 49007! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 2 years PCU/Step Down experience required License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ONCC or ONS certification required (must be in hand) Must-Have: - Administering Chemotherapy via IV - Starting IVs - Monitoring Chemotherapy Description: This unit provides care for general medical and oncology step-down patients. The role includes administering chemotherapy and starting IVs. Equipment used includes Welch Allyn Vital sign towers, Sigma IV pumps, and EPIC for documentation. The nurse-to-patient ratio is generally 1:4 to 1:6. Support staff is available if ratios increase. Charge RN is typically not included in patient assignments, and chemotherapy admissions may decrease assignment ratios. Weekend shifts will require working every other weekend. Floating to other medical/surgical areas may be required. The schedule is primarily self-scheduled after weekends are assigned by management. Must be available for the first two weeks of the assignment. Requests for time off after the offer will need discussion with management. Patients cared for on the unit include adults and geriatrics. Common diagnoses include sepsis, renal failure, respiratory failure, cancer, heart failure, and diabetes.
