Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Lafayette, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,973 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/10/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years required. License: Must have an in-state license prior to the start date. Certifications: BLS required; NIHSS and ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Description: The position requires a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. Candidates must have a minimum of 1.5 years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. BLS certification is required. NIHSS and ACLS certifications are preferred. Floating to other units is required. Candidates must not be local. Pending licenses are not accepted. In-state license and required certifications must be in hand to submit. Guaranteed hours are for 8 and 10-hour shifts - 40 hours in one work week. Working 3, 12-hour shifts guarantees 36 hours in one work week. Working 4, 12-hour shifts guarantees 48 hours in one work week. The skill set should include Med/Surg, pre/post neurosurgery, total joint replacements, and trauma experience. Candidates should be familiar with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Unit responsibilities include caring for orthopedic, GYN, urology, and neurosurgery patients. Typical diagnoses include total joint replacements, continuous bladder irrigation, hysterectomy, chest tubes, and various medical conditions. Candidates must be prepared to manage trauma levels I, II, III, or IV. Experience with IV starts is required. Wound care and the management of surgical drains are necessary skills. Isolation precautions, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management are essential duties. Travelers must comply with floating requirements. Two supervisor references are required upon application. Effective 11/30/2024, improved restrictions for travel applications will take effect.
