the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Oncology RN in Kalamazoo, Michigan, 49007! Job Title:

Experience: Minimum 2 Years PCU/Stepdown Experience Required
License: Michigan RN License Certifications: BLS, ONC or ONS
Must-Have: ONCC or ONS Certification Required Description: ONCC or
ONS certification required, will accept one or the other. Must have
ONC in hand. The unit cares for general medical/oncology stepdown
patients. Skills required include administering chemotherapy via IV
and starting IVs. Equipment includes vital sign towers, IV pumps,
and electronic documentation systems. Will work every other
weekend. Floating to other medical-surgical areas may be required
to care for medical-surgical patients. Nurse to patient ratio is
1:4-6, with support staff if ratios flex higher. Chemo admits may
decrease assignment ratios. Block scheduling may be accommodated
upon request. Scheduling for weekends is assigned by management,
while the remainder of days can be requested through
self-scheduling. Availability for the first two weeks of the
assignment is required. Requests for time off after acceptance must
be discussed with management. Patient age groups include adults and
geriatrics. The unit daily census averages around 29 patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as
physical therapy and social services. Patient diagnoses may include
sepsis, renal failure, respiratory failure, cancer, heart failure,
diabetes, and others. Special procedures may include chemotherapy
and administration of various types of care. Experience with
monitoring chemotherapy, starting and maintaining IVs, and
administration of chemotherapy is preferred. 5 Benefits of Travel
