hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care
experience in Med/Surg; correctional experience preferred. License:
Active nursing license required. Certifications: BLS required.
Must-Have: - Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility. - Compliance with
COVID-19 and flu vaccine requirements. Description: The position is
for a Registered Nurse specializing in correctional care. The work
schedule includes three 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM.
There are no block scheduling accommodations. Every other weekend
is required, totaling two weekends per month. Request for time off
is limited to five days with no more than two consecutive days. No
time off is permitted on holidays or on the day before or after a
holiday. A high volume of medication administration with scanning
and documentation is expected. Clinicians are required to float to
other areas as needed, within a 50-mile radius. The facility
utilizes Cerner for charting. Applicants must have familiarity with
medical-surgical care practices. Experience with rapid response
teams, oxygen administration, and wound care is essential.
Returning resources must undergo full recredentialing. Modules are
to be completed prior to the start of the assignment. Candidates
must provide compliance documentation by the specified deadline. 5
