Clinic Nurse Case Integrative Health (CIH) is a clinic dedicated to helping patients tackle complex-chronic diseases. Our team of Integrative MDs, DOs and PA-Cs work extensively with patients to uncover the root cause of their health issue, then build comprehensive multi-system plans to resolve the issues and balance the body systems – creating breakthrough health outcomes. Infusion therapies are a key part of treatments plans developed by our providers. As our practice grows, we are looking to expand our capacity to serve patients. Our structure allows RNs to work closely with patients over weeks and months to help them solve their most elusive health questions. Ideal candidates will have excellent IV skills. PICC line insertion certification is preferred but not required. This position offers infusion nurses the ability to utilize skills in an office setting. SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Practice Physicians, the Staff Nurse provides clinical nursing services and support, including patient education and patient management for their assigned group of patients. SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday – Friday. Day shift (May need to travel to our other location for coverage or patient demand) RESPONSIBLITIES: 1) Collaborate with providers to implement and monitor individualized care plans. 2) E-prescribe medications and refills at doctor’s order and communicates to pharmacies. 3) Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs establishing priorities. 4) Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections, wound care, and other clinical procedures. 5) Place peripheral lines or access a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line or a port for intravenous use. Prepare IV solutions and administer prescribed IV therapy consistent with current guidelines and established protocols. Document same in EMR. 6) Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications. 7) Coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, and follow-up care as directed by providers. 8) Triage patient concerns via phone, email, and in-person visits, using clinical judgment to determine appropriate interventions. 9) Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). 10) Monitor clinical supplies and ensure exam rooms and treatment areas are properly stocked and sanitized. 11) Support a professional practice by adhering to: o Standards of Nursing Practice o JCAHO, state, and local regulations o CIH policies and procedures 12) Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training. 13) Perform other duties as assigned by Practice Physicians and the Practice Administrator. QUALIFICATIONS: 1) A graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 2) Must be a licensed Registered Nurse and passed the state board. 3) Experience in integrative or functional nursing preferred but not required. 4) Knowledgeable about current nursing trends and legislative issues. 5) Able to juggle multiple tasks and patients simultaneously. Must possess excellent administrative and organizational skills. 6) Must be self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity. 7) Compassionate, curious and driven. 8) Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1) Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication. 2) Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing. 3) Ability to deal effectively with stress.
