Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/01/2026 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Critical Care Unit night shift assignment in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and at least 2 years of ICU experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is in the Critical Care Unit of a hospital setting - Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week - Patient population consists of critically ill adults - Assignment is 12 weeks in duration - May be considered local with a reduced rate depending on the radius rule - Responsibilities include caring for critically ill patients and collaborating with the critical care team - Travelers are eligible for auto offer positions - COVID vaccination is not required - Orientation and training will be provided based on unit needs - Local candidates are accepted but may be offered a reduced pay rate depending on distance from the facility - RTO requests should be included at the time of application /n /n Requirements/n - Active IL RN license required - Minimum of 2 years recent ICU/Critical Care experience - Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required - Must provide Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start - Must possess a US Social Security Number and US home address - Copy of driver’s license required - Two professional references required /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-666042.
