Job Description:
The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of
Academic Pediatrics, is searching for full-time faculty members at
any rank. Appointees will provide primary outpatient clinical care
for adolescents with a wide variety of healthcare needs in an
academic medical center and community settings, as well as
consultative inpatient adolescent care. Clinical responsibilities
will occur at Comer Children’s Hospital and the section’s off-site
clinical locations. Other duties will include teaching and
supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, and
scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a
generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon
qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. The University

designated as a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and
operates a nationally recognized burn unit. Comer Children’s
Hospital is an integrated children’s hospital offering a full
complement of pediatric services with a total of 172 general
pediatric, NICU, and PICU beds. Our pediatric faculty includes 170
full-time members, clinical associates, and postdoctoral
researchers. In addition to teaching medical students, residents,
and fellows, our faculty conducts cutting-edge translational and

doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical
licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board certified or
