Location inDesc: Mishawaka - State Road 23 Full Time Part Time: Full-Time Description: Responsibilities:Maintains and practices all state requirements for food service workers, including annual inspections and licensing requirements.Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes and presentation of food.Ensure food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner.Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that all food safety standards and regulations are followed.Performs oversight activities such as reviewing cleaning checklists, etc.Assists in controlling monthly expenses.Cleans and maintains the kitchen, cooking areas and all equipment.Completes any reports or logs such as recording temperatures of food and food storage areasKeeps accurate records for Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)Purchase food within a timely manner and within budgetary constraintsTracks all children throughout center with allergies and prepares/documents all substitutionsEither has or willing to obtain CERTIFIED food handler credentialProblem solver and multi-task in a fast paced environmentResponsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the kitchen (equipment) and food storage areasPrepares snacks and meals in accordance with planned menus and USDA/CACFP meal requirements while following preset time tablesHave good eye-hand coordination to prep large quantities of meal components at one timeCommunicate in a professional manner with management, co-workers, and childrenBenefits:Staff Member Tuition DiscountsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k)Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysCLICK HERE TO APPLY PM22 PI208325023
