In this position, you'll manage weekly union payroll for nationwide field crews across multiple unions and states. With a mix of structure and autonomy, you'll handle compliance reporting, fringe benefits, and end-of-project layoff checks while working closely with the HR and finance teams.

What You'll Do
Process weekly certified union payroll for field crews across multiple states and union locals.
Maintain and update wage and fringe tables, including travel zones, per-diem rates, and apprenticeship levels.
Ensure accurate coding of timecards and job costs; identify and correct errors before payroll close.
Handle compliance filings: WH-347, multi-state tax and fringe remittances, unemployment reporting, and year-end W-2/941/940s.
Prepare layoff checks at project completion and support compliance during audits and inquiries.
Assist with accounts receivable tasks when time allows (contract entry, change orders, billing).

Required:
3+ years of experience running in-house payroll for a unionized workforce
Proficient win Microsoft Excel

Nice-to-Haves
Experience with Sage 300 (Timberline) or similar accounting systems.
Familiarity with multi-state payroll tax laws and union fringe remittance requirements.
Union payroll experience
Background in HR support, payroll compliance, or AR functions.
Experience in a construction or similar project-based industry.
