Position Overview
The Director of Enterprise Technology provides strategic direction and operational leadership across all IT functions within the organization. This role is responsible for aligning technology initiatives with business objectives by overseeing infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, data management, and IT service delivery. The Director leads a cross-functional team of technology professionals and collaborates closely with executive leadership and departmental stakeholders to implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions that drive innovation, support growth, and ensure compliance.This leader must demonstrate strong expertise in identity and access management (IAM), internal controls development, and the creation of standard operating procedures to reduce risk, increase consistency, and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will embody a servant leadership philosophy-leading by example and fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and collaboration across departments.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Operational Leadership

  • Define and implement an enterprise-wide IT strategy aligned with long-term business goals.
  • Advise executive leadership on IT planning, investments, and emerging trends.
  • Lead strategic planning, governance, and IT performance management through KPIs and dashboards.
  • Partner with business units to translate operational needs into effective technology solutions.IT Infrastructure, Identity Management & System Controls
    • Oversee core infrastructure including servers, network architecture, cloud systems, storage, and disaster recovery.
    • Ensure availability and security of critical enterprise systems (ERP, WMS, CRM).
    • Lead the implementation and optimization of robust IAM frameworks.
    • Establish internal controls and develop SOPs to mitigate risk and ensure operational consistency.Cybersecurity & Regulatory Compliance
      • Develop and enforce enterprise cybersecurity strategies and incident response protocols.
      • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FSMA, data privacy laws).
      • Maintain vendor partnerships and internal alignment on cybersecurity efforts.Business Applications & Data Analytics
        • Oversee enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, ServiceNow, Salesforce, BI platforms).
        • Ensure effective system integration, data accuracy, and business intelligence delivery.
        • Champion analytics and data-driven decision-making across the organization.Leadership, Culture & Collaboration
          • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing IT team focused on accountability and development.
          • Promote servant leadership through support, transparency, and empowerment.
          • Establish strong cross-functional relationships with business stakeholders.
          • Drive a customer-centric IT service model centered on responsiveness and value.Governance, Policy & Financial Stewardship
            • Develop IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
            • Manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation and ROI.
            • Oversee vendor management, contract negotiations, and service-level performance.
            • Ensure the on-time, on-budget delivery of IT projects aligned with business priorities.Innovation & Continuous Improvement
              • Stay informed on emerging technologies and assess their relevance.
              • Lead initiatives to modernize systems, tools, and processes.

                • Promote a culture of safety and adherence to workplace health and safety protocols.
                • Ensure proactive risk management and compliance with the organization's safety policies.
                • Support injury prevention initiatives within the IT department.Supervisory Responsibilities
                  • Directly manage IT team members, overseeing hiring, training, development, and performance.
                  • Provide strategic guidance in planning and executing team initiatives.
                  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and high-performance team environment.QualificationsEducation
                    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
                    • Master's degree or advanced certifications preferred.Experience
                      • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in a mid-to-large enterprise.
                      • Proven experience in identity and access management (IAM).
                      • Demonstrated success developing and implementing internal controls and SOPs.
                      • Expertise in enterprise applications, particularly ERP systems (e.g., Oracle R12).
                      • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance, and digital transformation.
                      • Experience leading diverse teams and aligning IT strategies with business goals.Competencies
