(ALMA), a group self-insurance fund authorized by the U.S. Department of Labor to provide USL&H coverage for the liabilities of its members under the United States Longshore & Harbor Workers' Compensation Act.

The Technical Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between the Information Systems department and business stakeholders, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through improved systems and processes. This role is responsible for translating business needs into clear technical requirements, managing technology deliverables, and collaborating closely with development teams, quality assurance, and end users to ensure successful implementation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to industry best practices, provide strategic insight, and possess a strong understanding of scalable cloud-based solutions aligned with organizational goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates effectively with both technical and non-technical team members, as well as with clients, to ensure alignment and project success
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, consistent with the values and approach of the current team
  • Takes ownership of assigned projects, ensuring successful execution across all phases with a focus on quality and timeliness
  • Exercises sound independent judgment and leads enterprise-level initiatives with minimal direction from senior leadership
  • Facilitates meetings with confidence, fosters collaboration through brainstorming and consensus-building, and engages effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Delivers training sessions to team members to support knowledge transfer and adoption of new system functionalities or enhancementsCOMPANY SUMMARY

      • Business process documentation
      • Process flow analyses
      • Product architecture and design best practices
      • Technical specifications related to cloud solutions and/or relational database systems (RDBMS)
      • Requirements definitions and documentation
      • Configuration workbooks and supporting materials
      • Data modeling and schema design
      • Detailed functional design documentationEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
        • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field)
        • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
        • Proven ability to work both independently and within collaborative team environments
        • Quick learner with a creative, solution-oriented mindset
        • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead initiatives and contribute effectively as a team player
        • Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to rapidly grasp and apply new concepts, business models, and emerging technologiesWORKING ENVIRONMENT
