Compensation Range: $30-35/hr Job Description: The Technical Writer
will create clear, customer-facing documentation by translating
complex technical requirements into concise, easy-to-understand
content within a fast-paced software development environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Generate documentation from Jira
tickets and technical specifications Translate complex product
requirements into customer-friendly summaries (150 words or less)
Author and edit structured content using DITA XML Use Oxygen XML
(or similar tools) for XML authoring and editing Collaborate
cross-functionally with product managers and development teams
Review and refine AI-generated documentation (e.g., release notes)
Contribute to end-user documentation for software customers Work
within Jira daily and spend remaining time writing/editing
Requirements: Must-Haves: 3–5 years of Technical Writing experience
Hands-on experience with DITA XML (structured authoring) XML
editing experience (Oxygen XML or comparable tool) Experience
working in Jira within a software development (SDLC) environment
Background in content management or knowledge management Bachelor's
Degree Strong communication skills and ability to work
cross-functionally Ability to simplify highly technical information
for non-technical audiences Nice-to-Haves: Experience in SaaS or
cloud-based applications Familiarity with AI tools for
documentation or workflow optimization Banking or lending industry
