You are important to us, so that means following all assigned responsibilities according to established safety & security policies, guidelines, and legal regulations will provide you with a safe working environment. The day-to-day (italics indicate essential function) Your typical day begins at 8:00 am. You typically work 8 hours per day, sometimes a bit more, and you work Monday-Friday. Some days you might be asked to come in earlier or work later to cover for a coworker’s vacation. You move boxes from where they are to where they need to go. It’s more than basic logistics, though; it’s about efficiency, organization, and making sure we can effectively serve our customers. The boxes are sometimes heavy, so you safely operate forklifts or other equipment to assist in moving materials and products . If it’s not counted, it doesn’t exist. And if it’s damaged, it doesn’t sell. You perform consistent quality checks of materials and document discrepancies. You like to be part of an efficient team, so you assist in the spindle administration process. You take care of your teammates. You assist drivers with jobsite delivery, including carrying products from truck to delivery site or running a delivery with a van or pickup truck as requested. Special projects and tasks will be something that breaks up your day-to-day. Your supervisor will request your help with these. What you have Communication and interpersonal skills are important to you, and you demonstrate both effectively. You will push, pull, and carry 50lbs frequently. Not a problem, because you are an active individual. You are skilled at operating equipment such as an order picker and forklift; you have the ability to pass the Behler-Young Hilo Certification. Proud of your driving record? Well, so are we. Your outstanding driving skills will be needed. Flexibility in your schedule to help cover vacations for your coworkers.
