The Department of Kinesiology at Bethel University seeks to hire a highly qualified person at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor beginning in August 2022. Bethel is an intentionally Christ-centered institution which hires faculty who demonstrate a strong Christian faith. The Kinesiology Department is composed of four majors including Exercise Science, Health and Physical Education, Sport Management, and Sport Studies with over one hundred total students. The successful candidate will teach and develop coursework in Exercise Science/Sport Studies/Sport Management/ Health and Physical Education in response to departmental needs and his/her area(s) of expertise, as well as advise students in Exercise Science, Sport Management, Physical Education and/or Sport Studies majors. In addition, the candidate could be expected to supervise field-based clinical internships, serve on committees, engage in professional service and scholarly activities. The preferred candidate would provide input in the expansion of the current department exercise physiology lab as well as the day to day running of the lab. Ideal candidates will also demonstrate teaching excellence, interest in strong interaction with students, possess an interest in cooperative programs in Christian Liberal Arts settings and indicate ways they will support the University's commitment to diversity. Normal faculty duties include twelve hours of undergraduate teaching per semester as well as departmental and professional responsibilities listed above.Required: Earned doctorate degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or closely related field.
