Genesis10 seeks AMS (Automated Machine Systems) Commodity Buyers for a 7-month contract assignment in Oak Brook, IL. Positions may require some travel. Candidates can be located in Racine, WI, or Oak Brook, IL. If located in Racine, WI, will need to be onsite in Oak Brook for training and 2 times per week.

We are hiring for 4 open positions!

Compensation: $30.00 - 40.00 per hour, W2, depending on skill and experience level. Will work 40 hours per week and there is a lot of opportunity for OT.

Key Responsibilities:
--- Buyer for AMS = automated machine systems (precision technology cluster)
--- This is a VERY high demanding & high-performing team, that needs individuals who are self-starters, and able to hit the ground running asap.
--- Activities individuals will perform as part of their job duties: analysis (data science, data analytics), resourcing actions, supplier negotiations, surcharge management, reporting, payment resolutions, WMF (waste minimization fund) mitigations, market tests, and tech reviews.
--- Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs
--- Collaborate with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components, and/or operations and develop supply recommendations
--- Ensure suppliers can meet forecasted demand
--- May coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establish costs for new products
--- May participate in design and/or technical reviewsMay select, recommend, and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.

Required Qualifications:
--- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience with electrical commodities. Preference is around 8-12 years of experience. The higher the experience level, the more responsibility (i.e., lower level experience candidate will be primarily asked for review and initial recommendation on processes/tasks, the highest level of experience candidate will be managing the entire scope of a commodity).
--- Experience using SAP and Excel (pivots/vlookups/macros etc) are MANDATORY
--- Background in procurement, supply chain, and purchasing mandatory (at a global level highly preferred).
Individuals will manage all tasks/work up to contract signature (this will be done by the client manager), will not be dealing with cash, will process/work with large quantities and lots of $.
--- Preference is for higher skill level (8+ yrs) but will entertain lower-level skills as well.
--- Individuals must be able to read and understand blueprints and specifications, have logistical knowledge, be able to perform a tech review/quality of product and understand how to navigate for information (most of that being web-based).
