Territory Sales Account Executive

Job Description:

The Territory Sales Account Executive is accountable for occupational medicine sales strategies, planning and revenue generation in Indiana. This role is primarily responsible for developing new corporate clients for our workers compensation and employer paid services line of business. The position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.Job Responsibilities



  • Sales. Secure new employer business through prospect identification, cold calling, following up on warm leads, hosting educational seminars and customizing solutions.

  • Territory Sales Plan. Develop and execute an annual territory sales plan for targeting, lead generation, client retention and portfolio sales to expand current business.

  • Account Sales Strategy. Develop client-specific sales plans and expected outcomes based on their specific needs, barriers, key influencers and competitive forces.

  • Tracking. Consistently report sales and lead generation activities including calls, tours, meetings, events, key contacts and follow-up in Customer Relationship Management tool.

  • Market Visibility. Network and stay engaged with the local Chamber of Commerce, business associations, top providers, municipalities and community organizations.

  • Customer Experience. Work with Operations, Marketing and Customer Service to maintain a high-level of customer service and identify any important or recurring customer concerns.


    Required Skills


    Basic Qualifications



    • Previous experience selling occupational medicine to employers

    • Extensive knowledge of employer paid services including various types of drug screens, physicals, DOT requirements, etc

    • Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years professional work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and expertise

    • Must have knowledge of Workers' Compensations laws and regulations, OSHA requirements, federal and non-federal drug testing regulations, safety programs and relevant regulations (e.g., DOT, FAA)

    • Result-driven experience with face-to-face sales appointments, seminars and cold and warm calling

    • Proven ability to meet and exceed clients' needs and expectations

    • Demonstrated organization, self-motivation and follow-up skills

    • Exceptional written, presentation and verbal communication skills

    • Presents a professional image and attitude

    • Strong computer skills and intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office

    • Willing to travel within the territory up to 80% of the time for business purposes, minimal overnight travel

    • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management system, following a standard sales process and applying industry-leading selling techniques

    • Experience calling on human resources and safety professionals

    • Experience building relationships with key influencers and local officials in the community
