Beginning Pay Range: $43,888.88-$48,000.00 *$5,000 Hiring bonus for

strengthen families, help children heal from abuse and neglect,
provide homes and help kids thrive. About this Opportunity: ILP
Foster Care Case Managers are essential to the care of youth ages
16-19 in the child welfare system. An ILP foster care case manager
works with a youth as the primary guardian when they are placed in
the DABSJ Independent Living Plus program. The case manager's work
includes directly supporting the youth and helping to lead a
collaborative team to ensure the youth's ongoing safety,
independence and well-being. The end goal is for the youth to
complete the ILP program and live independently.This highly
impactful role requires people with a unique blend of strengths
including compassion, organization, communication, and
perseverance. While the foster care case manager has access to
frequent supervisory support, the role requires the case manager to
have the ability to make frequent independent assessments and to
creatively adapt to a diverse array of situations. The ILP Case
Manager will be embedded into the ILP program and engage with youth
and the ILP team on a frequent basis to ensure youth are meeting
their goals, engaging in medical, mental health and educational
goals. Additionally, this position requires flexibility in
scheduling to ensure youth are met with at times which are most
supportive to them and their goals. Would you like to help us
accomplish our mission as an ILP Foster Care Case Manager?Our ideal
candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work
or a closely related Human Services field as approved by the
Department of Child Welfare Licensing (DCWL). Master's degree is a
bonus. One year of experience as a foster care case manager in the
State of Michigan. Experience or training in working with children
or adults within individual and family counseling, interviewing,
family assessment and crisis intervention. Valid driver's license,
good driving record and adequate insurance with a reliable vehicle
always available.
