As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering direct support and care in their homes or community settings. This position requires a commitment to maintaining the dignity and independence of those you serve while ensuring their safety and well-being. Duties Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, bathing assistance, light housekeeping, transportation and mobility assistance. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Monitor the health and well-being of clients, reporting any changes in condition to appropriate healthcare professionals. Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medication schedules. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and engaging environment. Assist with long-term care needs for individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions. Implement care plans that address the specific needs of clients, including those with dementia or cognitive impairments. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy during all interactions. Experience Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with meal preparation, patient monitoring, and medication administration is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring long-term care is a plus. Knowledge of dementia care practices is beneficial for providing specialized support. A compassionate attitude and strong interpersonal skills are essential for building trusting relationships with clients.
